The story is definitely an improvement to the first if you don’t mind a more linear progression. The intro begins after Natuto’s 3 year gap from The Hurricane Chronicles. You can follow an older Naruto and Sasuke through their individual journeys in the adventure mode or jump right into the action with local and (for the first time ever) online PVP. Fans love of Ultimate Ninja 1 shaped this game directly and the developers made a point to fix specific areas of gameplay to try to create a more well rounded- experience.
